Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-08-16

1. Who operates Slidr

Slidr is operated by Michael Chen, an individual, not a company ("we", "us", "the operator"). These terms are an agreement between you and Michael Chen personally. Contact: support@michaelchen.me.

2. What the service is

Slidr is a web-based slide editor built for AI agents: it exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) tool surface so an agent can create and edit real slide decks, alongside a WYSIWYG editor you can use directly. By using the service — whether through the web app or through an agent connected on your behalf — you agree to these terms.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account, including activity from any AI agent you've connected and authorized. Keep your Google account secure — anyone with access to it has access to your decks.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Slidr to:

  • Upload or generate content that's illegal, infringing, or that you don't have the right to use.
  • Attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, or access controls rather than working within them.
  • Interfere with the service's operation or attempt to access another user's decks without authorization.
  • Use the service to build or distribute anything that violates applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. Your content

You own the decks, text, and images you or your agent create in Slidr. You grant us only the limited license we need to store, host, and render that content in order to provide the service to you — for example, rendering a slide to a screenshot, or serving a deck to a share link you've created. We don't claim ownership of your content and we don't use it to train AI models.

6. Sharing and share links

Decks are private by default — only you can see them. You can mint a share link for a deck from the editor or dashboard; that link is unlisted, not private: anyone who has the link URL can view the deck, whether or not you intended for them to have it. We mark shared pages so search engines don't index them, but the link itself is not a secret once you've shared it. You can revoke a share link at any time, which immediately stops the share link itself from resolving to the deck — it does not, however, revoke access to individual image URLs from that deck that someone already copied; those keep working independently of the share link.

7. Plans and payment

Slidr offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan — see /pricing/ for current terms and limits. Where purchases are available, payments are processed by Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record: Paddle handles billing, tax calculation, and payment collection, and your purchase is subject to Paddle's own buyer terms in addition to these. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.

8. Availability

Slidr is provided on an "as available" basis. We don't guarantee uptime and offer no service-level agreement. The service may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued, including for maintenance, without notice.

9. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator's total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid the operator in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $50 if you paid nothing), and the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or lost business.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms or for extended inactivity. There is currently no self-serve account-deletion feature; to close your account and request deletion of your data, email support@michaelchen.me. See our privacy policy for what deletion actually erases.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-law provisions that apply where you live.
